Logo Universal TCP/IP Network Bootdisk for M$ Networks

The Universal TCP/IP Network Bootdisk is a DOS bootdisk that provides TCP/IP networking support. It's designed for use in Microsoft networking environments, on either peer-to-peer or domain based LANs. Currently 98 different network card drivers all included, all on the single 1.44MB disk! Most people use this bootdisk for "Ghosting" PC's over a network connection. This disk will provide the DOS networking and drivers to allow the mapping of a network drive containing your imaging software and files. TCP/IP based image transfers, like GhostCast is also supported!

Menu Preference Editor GUI

A windows-based GUI has now been developed to allow pre-configuration of the bootdisk's menu settings. Previously to configure the disk, you would've had to manually boot the disk up using a normal floppy, so the settings, along with the encrypted password could be saved back to the (floppy) disk. This editor eliminates the need to do this. I expect this should be of great benefit to people wanting to pre configure the menu settings before burning NetBootDisk to Read-Only media like BootCD's and so forth.

NetBootDisk Menu Preference Editor

This editor has only been tested with Version 5.71. It should work version 5.3.1 and higher, including future versions, on the condition the format of MENUPREF.BAT is not changed in future releases. When this happens, the editor will be updated accordingly.

Usage

This program does not have an installer.

  1. Unzip to a folder then execute MENUPREFEDIT.EXE
  2. The program should then ask to download the latest network card driver list from NetBootDisk.com This is a simple single text-file HTTP download of the latest CARDDATA.TXT file.
  3. If you don't want the program to connect to the NetBootDisk.com, (or in the event of an download error, etc), then you need to place a copy of the CARDDATA.TXT file in the same directory as the Menu Preference Editor EXE. (This file is compressed inside FILES.UHA
